1910 Historic Enterprise House Bed and Breakfast

The Enterprise House Bed and Breakfast is proud to announce it's very own blog!  We plan on creating posts about news and events regarding Wallowa County and lodging.  Here is a little bit about the 1910 Historic Enterprise House Bed and Breakfast:

Our 1910 Colonial Revival home was magnificently restored in 1984, with the addition of 5 new baths.  In 2005 we added 3 more baths so every room in the house has it's own. The 840 square foot living room which is our common area for our guests brings the comfort of a large selection of books a fireplace and just a restful, peaceful fellowship room.

We found this very interesting article that was written about the home and family who built the house in 1910. It said, "From the start the Warnock house, built in 1910, was designed to hold a large number of people. The periods, but basically containing several influences from Queen Anne and Colonial Revival forms but basically a large farm house, is architecturally significant, according to Jack Evans, Director of the Library at Eastern Oregon State College, because it combines essentially unrelated styles in remarkably effective ways. Evans is considered an expert on period architectural styles and construction methods, said that the combination is well balanced and visually dramatic with out seeming pretentious and projects a strong statement of individuality and integrity. The home has a wrap around porch and stained glass windows, ornate interior woodwork and large rooms."

Breakfasts are a grand affair served on Wildlife dinnerware, made for us by Design Impressions. Many of our most popular dishes are from old family recipes handed down through the generations.

A varied buffet style breakfast offers melt in your mouth breads, a warm and Southern quiche or casserole and wonderful fruit dishes and coffee.

We look forward to sharing our home with you, come join us for long rest, where time will stand still for you stay and you will leave feeling refreshed and restored.
